NORFOLK, VIRGINIA – Alpha Kappa Psi, the largest international professional business fraternity, recently awarded the Silver Distinguished Service Award (DSA) to four deserving individuals during the 2015 Convention. The Silver Distinguished Service Award is presented for the recipient’s service as an alumnus, faculty or honorary member.

Naneen Christopher was initiated in 2005 by the Gamma Pi Chapter at Seton Hall University, where he graduated with degrees in marketing and finance. He also received his master in business administration from Excelsior College. Christopher works at Prudential Financial, within public fixed income under the portfolio administration group. As an alumnus, Christopher volunteered as chapter advisor, section director, regional director, and now serves on the fraternity’s board of directors. He helped charter multiple collegiate and alumni chapters and foster the development of volunteers in the region. | ||

Courtney C. Harrison joined Alpha Kappa Psi at the Kappa Tau Chapter at Lamar University in 2005. As a student member she served as pledge trainer, VP membership and VP administration. In 2007, Harrison graduated with a dual BBA in accounting and finance. That same year, she began volunteering her time as regional director. Harrison has time and time again volunteered for these roles and dedicated herself to the complexities of being a regional director. She resides in Winnie, Texas where she volunteers with her local church as a first and second grade Sunday school teacher and works at Prosperity Bank. | ||

Jennifer H. Kuhn was initiated by the Gamma Zeta Chapter at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1999, where she earned her degree in Business Administration. She held the positions of chapter advisor, regional director, and served on the fraternity board of directors. Kuhn is currently working in her family’s business, Hamburg Overhead Door, Inc. – the largest garage door company in Western New York. She plans to take the business over one day for her parents. In addition to the volunteer work she does for AKPsi, Kuhn is also on the board of directors for the Southdown’s Builders Association and the Hamburg High School Finance Academy. | ||
John C. Werner was initiated in 1986 by the Alpha Gamma Chapter at the University of Virginia. Professionally, Werner relocated to the west coast, where he serves as Vice President and Manager of Union Bank’s Charitable Services and IRA. Werner remained active within Alpha Kappa Psi, serving on the foundation’s board of directors. He also served on the board of directors as the Vice President for the California Aquatic Therapy & Wellness Center, Inc., a unique, non-profit which provides warm water aqua-therapy and rehabilitation services to elderly, veterans and mobility-challenged youth in the Long Beach, California area. |
