INDIANAPOLIS – Alpha Kappa Psi alumna and newly crowned Miss Wyoming 2015, Mikaela Shaw, Wyoming ’13, competes for the title during the 2016 Miss America Competition.
Shaw graduated with a degree in Marketing from the University of Wyoming where she was initiated by the Beta Nu Chapter in 2013. During her time at the University of Wyoming, she not only kept busy with Alpha kappa Psi, but was also a member of Chi Omega, the University of Wyoming Symphony Orchestra, the American Marketing Association and the Miss America Organization.
Currently competing for America’s Choice in the 2016 Miss America Competition, Shaw released a short clip detailing the voting process.
To vote: Post to your Twitter account or Facebook profile with the hashtag #MissAmericaVote and the state your favorite contestant represents. According to the official Miss America Organization Facebook page, each person is allowed one Twitter and Facebook vote per day until voting closes at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 10. The America’s Choice recipient receives and automatic semi-finals spot during the competition on September 13th.
