SAN DIEGO (November 2, 2015) — The fifth annual TEDxSDSU event,will be coming to the San Diego State University campus in the spring semester of 2016.
The TEDx Program is designed to help communities, organizations and individuals to spark conversation and connection through local TED-like experiences. This program is self-organized by the Mu Sigma Chapter, with the goal to bring people together; generating conversation and connections at the local level. The speakers for the spring 2016 program have been selected, though a date has not been set at this time.
Among other involvements on and off the SDSU campus, the Mu Sigma Chapter is influential for high school students in the area, by assisting them in researching colleges, the process of applying and attending, and what they should expect. Continuing on their giving path, Mu Sigma also works with organizations such as Traveling Stories, providing books for underprivileged children, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and many more.
Through their hard and dedicated service for their community, they stay true and continue to build upon the core values of Alpha Kappa Psi.
