NOBLESVILLE, IN (May 24, 2022) – Micheal E. Dickson, Central Washington ’02-Life, and Debora E. Barrett, Montclair ’98, have been re-elected to the Fraternity Board of Directors by receiving a majority of the ballots submitted by the Alpha Kappa Psi Chapter Congress. The directors’ three-year terms will commence at the conclusion of the AKPsi Convention in Miami on August 6, 2022.

Mike initiated into Alpha Kappa Psi as a member of the Kappa Xi Chapter at Central Washington University in 2002. During his time with the Kappa Xi Chapter, he held several leadership positions, including Chapter President. Mike was awarded the First-Degree Bronze Distinguished Service Award for his dedication as a student member of the Kappa Xi Chapter.
Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Operations and Supply Chain Management from CWU in 2005. Upon graduation, he worked for two Fortune 500 companies and earned his Master of Science in Project Management from the Stevens Institute of Technology. He currently works in the aerospace industry as a Senior Business Operations Specialist.As a volunteer, Mike has served Alpha Kappa Psi in the roles of Chapter Advisor, Regional Director, and Vice President for Areas 1 and 3. He was awarded the First-Degree Silver Distinguished Service Award for his work and support of the Northwest Region (now known as the Pacific Northwest Region). Mike resides in the Seattle area with his wife, Kerri Dickson, Washington State ’02-Life (and their Goldendoodle roommate). He enjoys travel, the outdoors, cycling, music, and photography. |

Debbie joined the Iota Rho Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi at Montclair State University in 1998, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in management and business administration. She also earned a Master of Business Administration, human resources management from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Currently, Debbie is the Vice President of Work Life & Culture at ITHAKA. She leads a team of talented professionals who are responsible for building and maintaining a vibrant and positive organizational culture for all the people who work there. In addition, the team provides all human resources functions, including recruitment, benefits, employee relations, compensation, organizational development, and staff effectiveness. Prior to joining ITHAKA, Debbie worked in human resources for over 15 years with diversified experience in organizations of varied sizes and industries.

The Fraternity Board of Directors is composed of nine alumni members elected by the delegates from all chapters for terms of three years. The Board of Directors then elects its officers – chair, vice chair, treasurer, and secretary. The main responsibility of the board of directors is to set strategy and policy and to serve as the supreme governing body of the Fraternity between meetings of the Chapter Congress.
