INDIANAPOLIS (November 16, 2016) – Chapter finances serve as a backbone to chapter operations and keeping current with chapter finances is one of the primary duties of the treasurer and executive council. In the webinar “The Complete Guide to Understanding Chapter Finances”, speakers Brian Parker and Brittney Brown discussed various ways to manage a chapter’s financial strategy, budget, and fees. The recent webinar had more than 85 registrants.

In an effort to stay involved with an organization Brittney loves, she became a volunteer as an alumni immediately upon graduating in spring of 2014 – first serving as Regional Manager of Finance for her home region of Western Great Lakes, and is now a Section Director within that same region. Professionally, Brittney is part of a 3.5 year Finance Development Program with Nestle where she’s been working since graduating.
Following a short stint in commercial banking, Brian has worked in various positions at Alpha Kappa Psi for the past 19 years, starting as an Expansion Coordinator in 1997. On a volunteer level, he is a past board member of JCI Indianapolis, currently volunteers at Fairbanks Hospital as a group facilitator and is the Treasurer of his Homeowner’s Association. Additionally, he volunteers for Back on My Feet Indianapolis and at Gleaners Food Bank. Brian is a Certified Association Executive and has overseen Alpha Kappa Psi’s Risk Management Program since 2009.
