The Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation Announces 2016 Academy Fellows

INDIANAPOLIS (May 25, 2016) –In June, nineteen student members will attend an intensive leadership retreat designed to make even the best of Alpha Kappa Psi more impactful, value-based leaders. Through the generous support of Alpha Kappa Psi alumni and friends, the AKPsi Foundation pays all expenses for those attending the experience.

The Academy was created in 2001 to provide participants with a solid grounding in self-awareness, leadership skills, teamwork, and a new perspective on change and systems thinking. Participants will learn how to become a leader who makes a visible difference and more positive force in their organization and profession.

Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation Recognizes Winning Case Competition Teams

INDIANAPOLIS (March 1, 2016) — The Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation is pleased to recognize the winning Case Competition teams that competed during this year’s Principled Business Leadership Institute.

All team members must have been Alpha Kappa Psi student members in good standing at the time of registration and the onsite competition. Teams consisted of two, three or four members and competitions were held at all locations excluding Oklahoma City, OK.

Jess LaNore Departs AKPsi’s Professional Staff

INDIANAPOLIS (January 19, 2016) — Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity announced today that Jess LaNore, CAE, Purdue ’00-Honorary/Life is leaving his position as managing director of alumni services to pursue other opportunities. The 18-year veteran of the fraternity’s professional staff will step down from full-time responsibilities on March 31, but as part of a transition process he’ll maintain limited duties through the end of September.

Foundation Names the 2015-16 All-AKPsi Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS (December 17, 2015) The Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation has officially named 283 students to its 2015-16 All-AKPsi Academic Team. The team honors students who maintain excellence in academic standing while making positive contributions to their campus and community.

From among the team members, eight outstanding individuals will be selected as team captains and receive educational grants from the foundation. This is the 18th year the foundation has sponsored the All-AKPsi Academic Team.
