Associate Director of Education Hired to Heritage Center Staff

INDIANAPOLIS (October 1, 2015) – Alpha Kappa Psi recently hired Mackenzie A. Lauka, Toledo ’10-Life who will join the fraternity’s professional staff as associate director of education.

Lauka, an Academy Fellow, graduated from the University of Toledo in 2014 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing and minors in business law and communication.

Paradise Coast Alumni Becomes 110th Alumni Chapter to Charter

NAPLES, FLORIDA (September 29, 2015) — Alpha Kappa Psi, the largest international professional business fraternity, recently granted an alumni charter to the Paradise Coast Alumni.

The 110th alumni chapter to charter, efforts came from 15 alumni members representing a variety of collegiate chapters. The Paradise Coast Alumni Chapter, located in Naples, FL, became a part of the largest network of alumni chapters in any state.

Fraternity Advisor Conference Provides Invaluable Experiences

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA (September 23, 2015) — The fall Fraternity Advisor Conference (FAC) was held in Irvine, California from September 11 – 13, and provided an opportunity for active fraternity advisors to share ideas, explore issues and current challenges, and gain strategies to better relate to college students.

The FAC focuses on the concepts, skills, and values which advisors need to be effective in their roles as chapter and fraternity leaders. The conference is for volunteers who want to go further than the basics of advising and want to gain education on the “bigger picture” of working with successful chapters, maintaining a healthy Chapter Advisory Board, and be the best resource to the fraternity and the chapter.

Gamma Nu Colonizes at Babson College

BABSON PARK, MASSACHUSETTS (September 21, 2015) — Alpha Kappa Psi, the largest international professional business fraternity, recently established a colony at Babson College.

The colonization marks revitalization efforts of the Gamma Nu Chapter which originally lasted 44 years after chartering in 1953. During the colonization period, the students will host various professional, service-related, fundraising and social events.
