INDIANAPOLIS (March 8, 2016) — Held in six different cities across the country, the 2016 Principled Business Leadership Institute (PBLI) offered programming focused on professional skill building at the individual level, while allowing for the opportunity to network with other members and business professionals.
During the opening sessions, attendees were given group challenges. One such challenge was “The Marshmallow Challenge”. The idea was to bring together members from different chapters in an attempt to create the tallest freestanding structure. Through constant communication, collaboration, trials and errors, teams were able to create soaring towers made only of spaghetti, string, tape and a marshmallow. This challenge is one of many throughout the events that taught attendees different ways of thinking and approaching problems.
Breakout sessions provided attendees ample opportunities to delve deeper by solving individual and chapter related problems, identifying personal branding strategies, accountability concepts and much more. Each discussion furthered the conversation centered on professional skill building while opening the door to networking opportunities. Find more information on breakout sessions and speakers at each location on the main PBLI page.
In addition to PBLI, Case Competition was held simultaneously at multiple locations. Teams competed for the top three spots and scholarships awarded by the Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation from the William E. Donnelly Scholarship Fund.
Alpha Kappa Psi extends its gratitude to this year’s speakers who facilitated close-knit group conversations with chapters and individuals throughout the event.
