Alpha Kappa Psi, the largest international professional business fraternity, recently granted an alumni charter to the Virginia Tech Alumni Chapter. On April 22nd, 15 brothers came together to celebrate the installation.
As the 113th alumni chapter to charter, efforts came from more than 60 members representing multiple generations of Virginia Tech alumni. In a chartering petition letter, Michael G. Dickerson, Virginia Tech ‘04-Life shared his excitement for the chapter’s installation. “As an alum of the Beta Xi chapter, I am extremely pleased to see the lifelong commitment of my home chapter’s members, uniting decades of alumni from all over the world to celebrate the history of Beta Xi and espouse the ideals of Alpha Kappa Psi.”
Led by Chapter President Michael A. Caggiano, Virginia Tech ’78-Life, the group has plans to connect all generations of Virginia Tech alumni and to continue supporting the development and will provide resources for the future re-chartering of the Beta Xi chapter. They will provide their members with an increased opportunity for chapter and leadership volunteers and re-engage alumni, in the area and worldwide.
