Remembering Brothers Who Fell Victim on September 11

NEW YORK CITY (September 12, 2015) – Yesterday marked the 14th anniversary of September 11, 2001, which will be forever etched into history as a day of shock and tragedy.

Three brothers of Alpha Kappa Psi were lost during the attacks on September 11th, Thomas E. Burnett, Minnesota ’85, Jayceryll M. de Chavez, Rutgers ’98-Life and David H. Winton, Fordham ’91.

Delta Pi Member Creates Convenient On-Campus Service

OMAHA, NEBRASKA (September 8, 2015) – In late August, Creighton University became home to a newly opened on-campus dry-cleaning solution for students, faculty, and staff. JayClean, the brainchild of Andrew Rogers, Creighton ’12, is the culmination of three years of hard work, partnerships with Max I. Walker and the Heider College of Business and the incredible support of fellow Alpha Kappa Psi members.

Jennings Elected Chairman of Foundation Board of Directors

NORFOLK, VIRGINIA (September 3, 2015) – Alison J. Jennings, Oakland ‘02, was recently elected as the Foundation Chairman, effective immediately.

The Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation was established as a public, charitable and educational foundation. Its mission is “Providing resources for enhancing the educational experience of futures business leaders.” It supports educational programs that develop leadership and professional development skills. It also distributes grants and scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students. The foundation is guided by a nine-member volunteer board of directors.

Alexander Sultan and Michael Dickerson Elected by 58th Chapter Congress

NORFOLK, VIRGINIA – During the 2015 Convention, the 58th Chapter Congress, consisting of one delegate from each student and alumni chapter in good standing, held elections for fraternity president and executive vice president. Kerri Dickson, Washington State ’04-Life did not run for re-election; stepping down from her position as executive vice president and receiving the outgoing executive vice president medal.
