[Noblesville, IN] — [March 12, 2026] — Alpha Kappa Psi is pleased to announce the results of its latest board election, welcoming three new directors to the Board of Directors. Each will serve a three-year term beginning in July.
Newly-Elected Directors
Margaret Haden, Julia Johnson, and Dan Kraft have been elected as new board members.
Margaret Haden, Kansas State ’09 is a mission-driven nonprofit leader with more than a decade of experience advancing community-focused initiatives through volunteer engagement, strategic partnerships, and research-informed programming. She has a proven track record of strengthening fundraising efforts, mobilizing volunteer networks, and building scalable systems that improve program delivery and organizational impact. Known for translating community needs and organizational priorities into measurable outcomes, she excels at developing sustainable workflows, enhancing reporting practices, and collaborating across teams to drive results.
Julia Johnson, Middle Tennessee State ’05 is a student success advocate and higher education professional with more than a decade of experience supporting first-generation, low-income, and underserved students. As a counselor with TRIO Student Support Services at Middle Tennessee State University, she provides academic, financial aid, and career guidance while developing programs that promote student persistence and graduation. Johnson is also an experienced volunteer leader and advisor, known for strengthening student organizations, mentoring emerging leaders, and building systems that support long-term organizational success.
Dan Kraft, Cincinnati ’00 is a tax director with Dean Dorton Allen Ford, PLLC, where he leads the Indianapolis tax department and advises privately held businesses on complex federal and multi-state tax strategy, compliance, and transactions. His work focuses primarily on the construction, real estate, and private equity industries, where he provides guidance on entity structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and long-term financial strategy. Kraft also helps lead the firm’s construction tax specialty, supporting education, risk management, and compliance initiatives across the organization. A Certified Public Accountant and Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional, he is an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association and a frequent presenter on tax and financial topics within the construction industry.
Outgoing Directors Retiring from Board Service
Alpha Kappa Psi would also like to thank Michael G. Dickerson, Don Sechler, and Miriam Tomaselli who who will complete their board service at the conclusion of the July meeting of the Board of Directors. Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to the mission and vision have been invaluable over their six years of service on the board.
Michael has held essential leadership roles, serving on the executive committee for several years and as chair of the board from 2023-25. Don brought a consistent. strategic voice challenging us to think bigger, and served as treasurer for several years. Most recently, he held the role of vice chair. Miriam was a consistent voice of inquiry, asking the hard questions, and she led the team that developed the Fraternity’s new Mission Statement.
The Role of the Board
As a nonprofit organization, the AKPsi Board of Directors plays a critical role in shaping our strategic direction, ensuring financial oversight, and supporting the organization’s mission. Board members provide corporate and operational guidance, contribute their expertise, and advocate for the organization’s growth and impact.
