NORFOLK, VIRGINIA – During the 2015 Convention, the 58th Chapter Congress, consisting of one delegate from each student and alumni chapter in good standing, held elections for fraternity president and executive vice president. Kerri Dickson, Washington State ’04-Life did not run for re-election; stepping down from her position as executive vice president and receiving the outgoing executive vice president medal.
Alexander Sultan, San Diego State ’93-Life and Gregory Q. Patterson, Northwood ‘02 were slated for the candidacy of fraternity president by the nominations committee. The candidates for executive vice president were Michael G. Dickerson, Virginia Tech ’04-Life and Hernan M. Mayol, Miami ’91. There were not any nominations from the floor for either election. After the individuals debated, the Chapter Congress re-elected Alexander Sultan for a third presidential term and elected Michael Dickerson as executive vice president.

Sultan joined Alpha Kappa Psi at San Diego State University in 1993. A Silver Distinguished Service Award recipient, he held various positions within his chapter, served as a former regional director and past executive vice president. His present employment is with KPMG LLP, an international accounting and consulting firm and is based out of the Washington, D.C. office. Prior to KPMG, Sultan worked for Booz Allen Hamilton, an international management and technology consulting firm. He was also a former part-time faculty member at San Diego State University, where he taught in their undergraduate and graduate Information Decision Systems department. He graduated from London Business School with his MBA in 2007 with an emphasis in strategy and emerging markets. | |
Dickerson was initiated into the Beta Xi Chapter at Virginia Tech in 2004, where he graduated with degrees in business management and political science. A bronze and silver Distinguished Service Award recipient, Dickerson served as section director, regional director, and most recently, Area III vice president. Dickerson has been employed by Booz Allen Hamilton, a management consulting firm located in Northern Virginia, for more than a decade. As executive vice president, Dickerson will lead the Alumni Chapter Region. |
Both began their two-year term on Saturday, August 1 following the officer induction ceremony held at the Grand Banquet.
