Heritage Center Staff

In 1923, Alpha Kappa Psi became the first professional fraternity to have a headquarters facility, and since then, has moved from location to location as the fraternity grew. Today, AKPsi occupies a 9,400 square-foot building on Indianapolis' northeast side that serves as the headquarters for both the Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity and Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation. The two corporations have been operating from the Heritage Center since April 2005.

Fraternity Board of Directors

The fraternity's board of directors is responsible for Alpha Kappa Psi's governance and oversight, strategic planning, policy establishment, budget approval and supervision of the Heritage Center (via the Executive Committee). It also serves as the supreme executive, legislative and judicial body of the fraternity during the interim between meetings of the Chapter Congress.

Foundation Board of Directors

The Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation was established in 1951 as a public, charitable and educational foundation. Its mission is "Providing resources for enhancing the educational experience of future business leaders." Last year, the Foundation distributed nearly 60 scholarships and fellowships to undergraduate and graduate students.

Management Team

The Management Team (MT), comprised of two elected officers (president and executive vice president), four area vice presidents and sixteen regional directors, is responsible for managing operations of the fraternity. The MT also oversees a vast number of alumni volunteers, such as regional managers, sectional directors and chapter advisors.

Judiciary Committee

The primary function of the Alpha Kappa Psi Judiciary Committee (JC) is to help protect the reputation of the fraternity through use of the risk management polices. The JC is both proactive and reactive in nature. It maintains resources and tools for chapters and volunteers to assist with the education of risk management issues. The reactionary function of the JC is to investigate the actions of chapters, members and guests that may have violated policies or be considered detrimental to the fraternity.
