Certified Fraternity Volunteers, Masters of Excellent Resource Management

INDIANAPOLIS (November 24, 2015) – A Certified Fraternity Volunteer (CFV) is one who possesses the essential knowledge of Alpha Kappa Psi’s operations, ideals and values.

A CFV is an Alpha Kappa Psi volunteer that has successfully mastered the topics around good volunteer resource management. In order to be recognized as a CFV, volunteers must first become a Qualified Fraternity Volunteer and pass the certification exam. In order to receive the designation of being a Certified Fraternity Volunteer, the following four easy steps must be completed.

Member Accident Protection Program – Benefiting All Eligible Members

INDIANAPOLIS (November 20, 2015) – As part of a risk management initiative, Alpha Kappa Psi incepted the Member Accident Protection Program, or MAPP, in 2009 and has been a benefit of membership ever since.

MAPP, which is a benefit within the fraternity insurance program, makes sure all eligible undergraduate members and pledges of the fraternity are insured for covered injuries which are incurred while the policy is in force and occur while in good standing with the fraternity.

Omega Beta Volunteers for Annual Hands for Hope Gala

FERNDALE, WA (November 16, 2015) – For the Omega Beta Chapter at Western Washington University, giving back to the community meant volunteering at this year’s 2015 Hands for Hope Gala.

The Hands for Hope Gala supports services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault provided by the Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services of Whatcom County (DVSAS). Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services is a county-wide, volunteer based organization that serves individuals of all ages affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. The agency provides client-centered, accessible services which promote empowerment, choice and safety.

Pi Omega Supports A Fresh Start Through National Campaign

INDIANAPOLIS (November 5, 2015) — As a part of the Pi Omega Chapter’s 2015-16 “A Fresh Start Campaign”, they are raising awareness to benefit community Homeless Shelters throughout the country this November 9-10 in honor of Veteran’s Day.

A Fresh Start is a national non-profit organization benefiting homeless men, women, and children and was also founded by a brother of the Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi, Janza Stannard.
