INDIANAPOLIS — The Alpha Kappa Psi Board of Directors recently appointed Egbar Ozenkoski as regional director of the Desert Southwest region. The appointment will take effect immediately.

Egbar Ozenkoski, Southeast Missouri State University ’09 – Life 

Egbar was initiated into the Zeta Omicron chapter at Southeast Missouri State University. He earned his B.S. of Business Administration, Finance and MBA in Management from Southeast Missouri State University, and his MA of International Business & Economics from FH Schmalkalden.

Within Alpha Kappa Psi, Egbar has most recently served as the Senior Manager of Operations for the Eastern Great Plains region and on the Fraternity Ritual Team. Previously, he has served as a Regional Manager, Section Director, interim Chapter Advisor, and Vice President of the St. Louis Metro Alumni Chapter. As a student brother, Egbar served as a chapter president and Master of Rituals. Additionally, he is a recipient of the Silver Distinguished Service Award (first degree).

Professionally, Egbar is a Senior Financial Counselor and adjunct faculty at Southeast Missouri State University. Additionally, he is a world champion case competition competitor, avid traveler, and enthusiast of technology and coffee.

“Serving as a volunteer has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I am ecstatic to begin work with the chapters and Regional Management Team of Desert Southwest, building upon their many successes and advancing the strength of Alpha Kappa Psi.”

The regional director is a volunteer position charged with working closely with the area vice president and chapter educational resource coordinator to ensure a quality student experience through effective chapter operations. The regional director is the first line supervisor of chapter advisors and section directors in a specific geographical area.

Chi Delta Chapter Installs at Saint Joseph’s University

On Saturday, October 28, 2017, the colony at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA installed as the Chi Delta chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi.

Chi Delta’s journey began over a year ago when two sophomores, Tim Brandt and Sam Zimmerman, expressed interest in starting a chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity. The two students saw the need for a friendly, inclusive, and diverse business fraternity on their campus.  The duo set out to recruit members who shared the same vision. A total of 90 individuals were colonized in February 2017 with 83 now slated for their official charter. With the help of the Fraternity Ritual Team, Garden State Alumni chapter, Eta Psi chapter, and Chi Omicron chapter alumni, 65 colonists were initiated on Saturday, and the remaining colonists are scheduled to initiate between November 2017 and May 2018. Fraternity President Mike Dickerson cited this installation as one of the largest installations he’s been a part of during his time as a volunteer.

After executing two professional events, three service events, and a successful fundraiser, the colony demonstrated the time management and planning skills necessary to become a successful chapter. While recruitment was not a major concern for the very large colony, they attended campus involvement events to promote the Alpha Kappa Psi name. As a result, the colony received interest from students on campus looking to share a bond based on business principles and servant leadership. The former University President, Mark C. Reed, Ed.D., stated, “The enrollment goal is to average 50 new students per year…I do believe the addition of Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity at Saint Joseph’s University will be a mutually beneficial relationship and that our students will invest in the growth and success of the chapter.”

The Chi Delta chapter’s next steps include recruiting a younger pledge class in the spring to carry on the chapter, attending President’s Academy, Officer Training and PBLI, and networking with nearby chapters in Philadelphia.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Alpha Kappa Psi Board of Directors recently appointed Jasmine Chery as regional director of the Atlantic Gulf Coast region. The appointment will take effect immediately.

Jasmine Chery, University of Central Florida ’09 – Life

Jasmine Chery was initiated in fall of 2009 at the Nu Chi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. She has been committed to the growth of the fraternity and chapters in the Atlantic Gulf Coast region. From assisting in the installation of chapters, serving as an advisor, and even volunteering at fraternal events, Jasmine has always shown a desire to serve. Professionally, she leads a classroom of eager elementary students in their endeavors to learn to read. In her free time she mentors and tutors disadvantaged youth. 

The regional director is a volunteer position charged with working closely with the area vice president and chapter educational resource coordinator to ensure a quality student experience through effective chapter operations. The regional director is the first line supervisor of chapter advisors and section directors in a specific geographical area.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Alpha Kappa Psi Board of Directors recently appointed Jamie fuller as regional director of the Carolina Coastal region. The appointment will take effect immediately.

James A. Fuller III, Clemson ’08 – Life

Jamie was initiated into Alpha Kappa Psi through the Omega Upsilon Chapter at Clemson University in the Spring of 2008. He received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson in 2011, and his M.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University in 2015. While in Omega Upsilon, he served as the VP of Membership and Chapter President. As an alumni brother, Jamie has served in many volunteer capacities including Chapter Advisor, Regional Manager, Section Director, and on the PEP Taskforce. He is also a recipient of the Silver Distinguished Service award (First Degree).  Jamie is a licensed Professional Engineer with the Virginia Department of Transportation and works as a Traffic Design Engineer in Richmond, Virginia. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., and enjoys traveling, playing tennis, working out, music, NCAA sports, serving his community, and is an a avid roller coaster enthusiast. 

 

“I am truly honored and excited to take on the role of Regional Director. I look forward to working with all of the amazing volunteers on the Regional Management Team as we work to give the student brothers of the Carolina Coastal Region the best student experience possible!”
